What to Look for When Choosing a Language School in London

London brings to mind those iconic red buses, phone boxes, Big Ben, the London Eye and an endless energy… But if you’re planning to come here to study, the adventure doesn’t end with buying a plane ticket. Finding the right language school in London, managing the visa process and, most importantly, finding a reliable answer to the question “where will I stay?” is the most critical part.

As the City Nest team, we’re by your side like a friend who knows every inch of London. Here are a few golden tips to make your life easier during this process:

1. When Choosing a Language School, “Location” Is Everything

London is a huge city. Having your school in Zone 1 may seem cool, but if your accommodation is far away, you could spend a lot of time travelling every day.

• Tip: As well as the social activities your school offers, be sure to ask how close it is to accommodation options.

2. Accommodation: Student Residence, Homestay or Shared House?

Accommodation in London is one of the things students struggle with most.

• Boarding Language Schools: A great option, especially for those who want to focus.
• Professional Accommodation: If you’re coming to London not just to study but also to network, our short- and long-term options for professionals may suit you better.

3. Don’t Underestimate the Visa Process

A UK visa can sometimes feel like a maze. Having complete documents isn’t enough; your intentions must be clear and your financial situation presented transparently. At City Nest, we support you not only with UK visa consultancy but also with US, Canadian and Schengen visas, so you can focus simply on packing your suitcase.

4. For Young People Who Want to Make the Most of Their Summer Holidays

Our boarding summer schools for children combine language learning with the fun of a holiday camp. Making friends from all over the world in a safe campus environment is a priceless experience.

Why City Nest? We’re not just a consultancy; we’re your home in London. From accommodation to visas, from choosing a school to settling into the city, we’re sincerely by your side at every step.
